Why isn’t Kopitar a trigger man on the powerplay? 5-on-4, 5-on-3, I don’t care, Kopitar has the best overall shot on the team.
Why is everyone on the powerplay shooting except him? Does Kopi not want to shoot or is he being instructed to pass?
I suspect the latter. But there has to be shades of both at work here.
Jamie Kompon deserves some blame. The powerplay is, after all, his responsibility. However whereas I know most of you want to blame the system, or blame Stoll and Brown for trying to do more than their abilities permit them, I think the true cure to the powerplay lies on Kopitar’s stick.
Shoot the damn puck Kopi. Shoot it hard, shoot it fast, shoot it often.
