To counter the return of Randy Jones, Vancouver coach Alain Vigneault has put Andrew Alberts in the lineup. The logic appears to be that he refuses to let the Kings’ defense out suck his own…maybe that’s not the reason and it may have to do with the fact that Aaron Rome is injured again and Nolan Baumgartner now has a lower vaginal injury. Kings forward Brad Richardson was asked about Alberts’ return. “I’ll be ready to be charged, boarded, hooked and held.” I asked Terry Murray what he thought of Alberts on the Canuck’s blue line. “It’s a win-win really. We probably get a few more powerplays and the Vancouver fans have a scapegoat, which they will badly need.”
Ok, so Brad and Terry didn’t say that but they would have if I had asked.
