A DESERVED SHOUT OUT FOR THE SHUT OUT

I must take a moment of your time to recognize some people.  Those people being you.

The fans were incredible tonight.  This was by far the loudest game of the season.

I would like to specifically mention a few people I met tonight.

Jeff: A section 315/314 staple.  Always there, always active.  Bringing new fans to the game.  A worthy and charitable cause.  You are the quiet backbone of the ebb and flow between diehards and those watching a game with business tickets.

Lindsay (correct spelling?  I don’t know, also don’t care):  A fierce and fiery (red head, it fits) Kings fan.  Told me she was using vacation time to go see the Kings play in Boston and Detroit and possibly New York.  By herself no less.  That is dedication.  What have you done lately?

Loud guy:  I have no idea who you are.  I know your face.  You sit directly to my right, one section over.  I call you Mr. Sentence because you have no qualms about yelling a full sentence at the top of your lungs.  Classy.  Thanks for all the “Let’s go Kings!” chants you start on a nightly basis.

Whoever you are: Never seen you before, but you joined me in chanting “Downie’s a bitch” for a full minute.  Love it.

The rest:  You joined in!  Its about damn time.

Keep it coming boys and girls.

Always and forever,

GO KINGS GO!

  1. Thanks for the shout out Jacob! I am honored to sit between you and “loud guy” each night. You guys bring pure entertainment to the game, giving each new person I introduce to the game a love for attending the sport. Keep up the great work!

  2. LOUD GUY!! We hear him in 316 clear as day!

And we would have fully joined your Downie’s a bitch chant had we been able to make out what you guys were saying! hahaha. And even not knowing the words themselves….just hearing you guys scream brings smiles to our faces!

    • I’m curious, if you are in 316, can you hear me do the “duh, duh, duh duuuduh, duh, duh, duh duuuduh, duhduhduh, ____ SUCKS!” chant? I’m trying to get it to spread. If everyone goes “duh duh duh, etc” in a mildly loud voice that doesn’t destroy the throat like I do when I do it by myself, it will sound amazing!
