The Sabres are a respectable franchise with a loyal and die-hard fan base. I mind them less than any other team in the East. Here is what they had to boast about the victory. Click on the link for the rest of the article.

The Buffalo Sabres came back in tonight’s hockey game in order to defeat the Los Angeles Kings 4-2.  Thats now three in a row at home, and three of their last 4 as wins – all against teams that are leading their division.

What is most interesting to me about the game, was the fact that the Los Angeles Kings left Bernier in the net, despite having the last 45 seconds of play take place in the Buffalo Sabres end of the rink.

Sabres Edge

The Buffalo Sabres have a power play that has languished near the bottom of the NHL for most of the season. It’s ranged from invisible to unwatchable, especially during November.

The Sabres, though, insisted it was getting better. The chances were coming, they said, and it was just a matter of converting.

It appears they were right.

The Sabres’ power play struck twice in a game for only the second time this season, and it propelled them to victory Friday night. Tim Connolly’s power-play goal early in the third period broke a 2-2 tie and moved the Sabres toward a 4-2 victory over Los Angeles in HSBC Arena.
