Well, we got 2 out of 3 on the last Topsy Terry Thread. Let’s predict what his adjustments to this one against the Blues will be?

Let’s see, last time we said he will shuffle the lines and HE DID! Think we will stick with that one for the next game.

We also guessed Quick would start and HE DID! Sweet. Now, will Bernier start? I am going to say yes. Despite pathetic cycle after pathetic cycle and a completely broken system, Terry will blame this loss on Quick and the bad goal. It’s easier that way. For what it’s worth, Quick did cost us that goal, but he did not cost us the game. You score one goal in this league and you lose the super majority of games. But I digress. Bernier will start.

Any other adjustments? I am thinking either Harrold or Drewiske is coming back. I am going with that one again. It didn’t happen this game because of the back to back. Terry will want to “shake things up.” Keep shaking Topsy.

As an added bonus, we may hear about “shot mentality”, being “strong on the puck” and “puck management.” He will say NOTHING about what Jim Fox stated during the telecast and the SECOND consecutive game we have heard the same thing from a color guy…what did Jim Fox say? That is coming in another article.

The zone entry statistics are coming up next.

  1. I predict an interview by Hammond with DL, not to justify anything but to divert attention and damage control to ease fan tensions so that it doesn’t appear that the Kings have given up. TM will do the exact same thing as yesterday.

  2. Though anything is possible and certainly there could be a change, Dean is not talking. Let’s just say I know stuff…he may break the silence before the end of the road trip in February depending on the results.

    • There is a rumor that he will be on NHL live tomorrow. But the Kings tweet that was posted tonight said Tuesday.

Dean Lombardi is scheduled to be the guest on @nhllive tomorrow, Tuesday, at 10 a.m. (PT) with @DebMSG and @EJ_HradekESPN. Enjoy!

  3. Bobby Scribe was a game that you watched via TV..I am sad saying this, as watching the Kings ..and Hockey is my first choice in all things I love ..but during a lot of last night’s game..especially most of three third period, I was Bored!
    Your take?
(Martinez did have that one bad bungle that led to a turnover scoring chance ..So DD in..he sits)
Although Doughts was a lot more physical and making plays..which was great to see..he is still lapsing at times..We had one nice sustained play in the Blues’ zone ..and Drew had left figuring it had ended to start back to bench.was not there for the pass and over the line it went
    .end of a good opportunity.

    • Let’s just say I longed for one of those between period midget games. The zone entries tell the story well. Complete lack of puck possession and control and no adjustment to opposing defense. You are watching a team play a broken system and few things are more frustrating. Remember it well from the Andy Murray days.
