CONGRATULATIONS TO MATT MOULSON ON HIS THREE YEAR, $9.4 MILLION DOLLAR CONTRACT EXTENSION

There are certain players who I regretted seeing go the moment they left our LA Kings. Michael Cammalleri was one. Matt Moulson was the other. Cammy’s trade has probably caused more perpetual aggravation for certain Kings’ fans than any other in the past decade. Moulson however was more below the radar though Surly and I always like Matt and did not believe he was given a fair shot with the team. When evaluating our left wing needs today, it’s hard to call Lombardi’s lack of follow through on Moulson as anything other than a mistake, in foresight and hindsight.

However, this article is not about what happened seasons ago. It’s about now. It’s about a sincere congratulations to a good guy, one of the hardest working prospects the Kings have had despite Dean Lombardi’s claims to the contrary, and Moulson earning his 3 year, $9.4 million dollar contract. May Matt have many 30 goal seasons ahead.

  1. Okay yeah yeah yeah he signed a contract with a sucky team…

  2. Congrats to Matt! Job well done!

  3. Too bad he wasn’t worth 3 mill when we had him. The Islanders did a great job of bringing him along, and their patience and some hard work on Moulsons part has paid off. I wonder if they over paid, but I can’t say for sure since I only casually follow the Islanders through stats and articles, and don’t watch more than 6 to 8 games a season.

Don’t even get me started on Cammi. Everytime I do somebody always tells me about him being such a cancer. For a while I thought I was the only one who was sorry to see him go.

  4. Exactly right! So nice to see Matt turning into the player he is and getting his due.
No contract extension but praise also to Brian Boyle. He has developed into a dynamic player..future leader for sure. I regret we let him go.

    GO KINGS GO!!!
