There you have it. We have come full circle. Give nothing to get nothing to lose nothing.

The flexibility LA Kings‘ general manager Dean Lombardi sought by putting Marco Sturm on waivers just cost the Kings the veteran left wing to the Washington Capitals. I am not yet certain if we still lose the conditional draft pick we gave up to the Boston Bruins for Sturm.

What we do know is this: We now have a hole at left wing. Again. With Andrei Loktionov‘s season ending injury, if Terry Murray intended to take the center peg and put it in the left wing hole, he needs to look elsewhere.

We wish Marco the best of luck. It will be interesting to see if Sturm has success with the Capitals who play a more wide open style than the LA Kings.

  1. Shit. Really a dilemma with Lokti out.

  2. you are crazy if you think Sturm leaving the kings is a bad thing. We should have never picked him up.
