At a place between rage and rivalry lies my emotions each time we face Anaheim.

I see orange and my eyes see red.

I watch their fans lumber within our arena and my blood’s fire boils.

Tonight, the witted dim will dance on our ice at Staples. To this dance, we bring daggers. Their hearts we shall not aim. It is their spirit we seek to break. Come with hope. Leave with not. Do not pretend that your past holds relevance to your present or tomorrow. Your glory lies in ruins and upon its ashes we tread.

Robert Frost wrote, “win as if you are used to it, lose as if you enjoyed it for a change.” It is this day to which I look forward with my Kings. We are not there yet but each step this franchise takes to the Cup until we lift the silver chalice and thereafter drink the bottomless cup of perpetual success reminds me that the path beneath our feet is paved with purpose and nothing, the least of which a feckless fowl, slows our stride. GO KINGS!

  1. “we bring daggers”

    Too soon?

  2. Tonight we must take out the frustration from the Blues game upon the hapless Ducks. Penner must lead the charge, and we need to test that surgically rebuilt hip of Ray Emery’s early and often! NO PRISONERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  3. “Lose as if you enjoyed it for a change”??? No way. After seeing what our boys are capable of, I will not settle for a loss. Especially tonight!

  4. Any hard hits on Winchester will make my night!
    GO KINGS GO!!!

  5. Daggers?

This is hockey, not basketball. He he he

On a more serious note, Anahiems’ goalie is playing good, but hasn’t been around long enough this season to be in a rythem. Lets get to him early.

Also, please someone, isolate Sellanne and hit him, before he builds up speed.
