He is an aggressive butterfly goalie. Rumor has it he stings like a bee. While I am wondering why we drafted yet another goalie (and my mind is racing in that regard), I am stuck on the fact Christopher Gibson is a Ducks’ fan. Perhaps Dean has a vengeful side and he drafted the kid for the LA Kings just to torture him. Perhaps a “re-education” camp? He feels empathy for this talented goalie? The kid didn’t mean, Anaheim Ducks but rather Anaheim Sucks? There are many options but the simple answer is he is just young and his brain hasn’t fully developed. He will be fine. So, why did Dean draft a goalie?
He’s from Finland, of course he’s a Ducks fan. Ever heard of Teemu Selanne?

With a last name like Gibson, I would never have suspected that he is a native of Finland.
Right? Fins always have names that blend together. Te Musellane. Jar Koruttu. Me Kokoivu. I’m a little disappointed. They all have such silly names. I wanted a Fin with a silly name too.
First thoughts..A goalie..don’t we have a glut..isn’t that what we keep being told?
Maybe we got for future trade leverage?

Every team needs a black guy, and since we just traded Simmonds, we got our black guy back with Gibson. Dean always has an alterior motive.
In seriousness, I just watched his interview, kid has a fantastic personality. For those that didn’t catch it, Chris does martial arts (dad is an instructor) and is being mentored by Marc Denis. NHL Network analyst were raving about him.
The Kings just wanted to get their own Gibson in net to keep pace with the Ducks. Ugggh! another goalie. Can’t even discribe how dissapointed I am right now.
