Early this morning, I received a call from a friend who told me about the plane crash that killed the majority of the KHL team, Lokomotiv. I have read the stories, as you have as well. The team’s main roster was on the plane plus four players from the youth team. Only one player from Lokomotiv survived – Alexander Galimov, a 26-year-old forward who has burns to 80-percent of his body. He is in critical condition.

When I get home tonight, I am going to pick up my daughter, walk to my wife and embrace them both. We shouldn’t need reminders like this that life, regardless of who you are and what you do or have done, can be taken away from you in an instant. You can choose to live and love within each moment or let them pass until there are none left.
