  1. Great show as always gentlemen, and yay! You pronounced my name right
Surly, I believe it was you who said the Lakers adopted the purple and gold color scheme after the Kings… I looked on the web and both teams had the same color scheme at the same time (1967)?

  2. Regarding & explaining Darren Pang’s inexcusably biased announcing this series: do you guys remember where Pang was employed from 2005 through 2008? Between Darren’s stops at ESPN and the St. Louis Blues?

Great pod, Gentlemen. Keep up the excellent work.

  3. Going to be listening a little bit later today. However, I wanted to share this link to you all from the Fucktards over at Five for Howling. Look at the header of this blog entry. http://www.fiveforhowling.com/2012/5/22/3036986/stanley-cup-final-schedule-2012-phoenix-coyotes I’m all for having hope for your team and all, but damn, these guys are dreaming a bit too much. Lets wrap this series up TONIGHT!! GKG!

    • I think it is one of those auto-posts that the site does for them. In all fairness they COULD play then and it is right of them to report it. I don’t see anything wrong here.

      • I know KingOfRedlands. Im just trying to stir some shit up! =D You’re right though, this series isn’t over until Brown is center ice with Bettman, receiving the Campbell trophy! GKG!

  4. BTW, I hate the “cock-sucker” McSorley too! Fuck that asshole!

  5. I think the Coyotes wanted game 4 more than we did. But I think we’ll want game 5 more than they.

… I was waiting for you to say why you think this way. What makes you think Phoenix will be less desperate in game 5 than they were in game 4?

I fall back on history. Every time Jonathan Quick has had an average or a bad game, what has he followed it up with?

My sort of ‘go to’ is that if Quick has a pretty lousy game, he always bounces back.

… I found this info in about a couple seconds, and this is for just this season – his best season. I’m sure I could find a lot more examples of this in his other seasons, if I were biased. But I’m not!

    • Your cherry picking of 6 sets of games shows that JQ half the time follows up a lousy performance with a BETTER performance, which I believe was the point made. So, thanks.

3 times it was worse and that’s fine, nothing is absolute.

      • … Regardless of whether the instances show performance being marginally better, the fact of the matter is that six different times this season Quick followed up a poor performance with another poor performance. So, the notion that he “always” bounces back is a myth.

        • Well there is no ‘always’ in life, this shouldn’t need to be pointed out. The term is used often and loosely rarely means that something literally happens in every possible instance.

Do you not hope that Quick plays well tonight? Are you concerned? Do you need a tummy rub?

… Yeah just say whatever; it’s all good.

Do you not hope that Quick plays well tonight?

… No, of course not. I’m biased, as you’ll recall.

          • So you DO need a tummy rub?

    • Also he didn’t say the Coyotes will be less desperate. He said the Kings will want this game more. Two entirely different statements.
