Kid: I want a bicycle.

Jeremy: Listen, a bicycle is going to take a lot of balloons and frankly, uncle Jeremy is a bit tired. How about I make you something else?

Kid: I just want a bicycle!

Jeremy: Why… why are you yelling at me?

Kid: Make me a bicycle, clown!

Jeremy: All right, I’m going to make you a bicycle. But I don’t want to make you a bicycle.

Kid: Shut your mouth, funny guy, and make it.

I was at a four-year old’s birthday party this afternoon – my daughter’s cute little cousin. As I sipped a beer and chatted with the adults, I noticed the kids congregating around a guy making balloon animals. Kids left there one by one with Mickey, Minnie, Ariel, Yo Gabba Gabba, Buzz Lightyear, cars, crowns and hats. The scene hit me. A smile and a devilish thought, I sauntered to said balloon making man and proceeded to challenge him.

“A Stanley Cup?” he asked.

“An L.A. Kings balloon inspired Stanley Cup. You can’t make it. I came here to tell you that,” I explained.
