Davis, We Hardly Knew You

Per Darren Dreger, Davis Drewiske will wear a Montreal Canadiens uniform… in practice… maybe in a game. Kings sent the good old boy to the Habs for a 5th round pick in the 2013 Draft.

Kind of a bummer, I’ve always been a big fan of Drewiske. Or, atleast as big a fan as you can be of someone who never plays. Drewiske will be remembered for his solid defensive play, sportsmanship, dedication to practice and a pair of beady little eyes.

  1. they are trading away all my customers!!! Drewiske was a nice guy…. but he had a little dog with him… was a little concerning… then i remembered jeff carter and his little dog.. :/ Oh well Nice meeting ya Davis!

  2. It was only a matter of time. Good luck to the guy. Hope he sees some ice time there.

  3. I’m glad for him. He deserved to play. He’s been the good teammate, never complaining, but hardly ever playing unless there’s an injury. He’ll have a chance to play a regular shift in Montreal.

  4. Players that never play are always more memorable when alliteration is present.

  5. Bummed out!!!
Best of luck Davis…You were and will Always be a
King to me..Glad you were here for the Cup…
Thanks for always trying you best, being a Team player and helping the Kings this season.
    GO KINGS GO!!!
    WWTC!!!

  6. Sad to see DD2 go but, Surly and Scribe, 2013 is again to be the year of the King. I am hopeful that Regehr’s presence slots the defense correctly, not that Regehr is the saviour.
When the Kings lose, I stew until the next win. When the Kings win, the world is just right. Even though tonight’s game would be cause for for malaise, I feel no ill effects. No ill begotten thoughts of the coming of the end of the world. No, come playoff time, we will dominate, we will devastate, we will win the Cup. With a group of supremely talented, young, fast, large, dedicated two way forwards, and embarrasment of offensively talented defensemen balanced out by punishing stay at homes…..97% of whom just won it all, we will not lose.
Bid DD2 adieu, and let’s do this together.
